A leading Resources company is looking for a Category Management Executive for a 12-month contract to lead a strategy for their Indirect commodities, the role is based at their Head Office in Johannesburg.
Identify and lead the delivery and implementation of step change, high impact cost reduction initiatives across operations in the Southern Africa region working in an integrated manner with existing Facilities Management and Transport & Logistics procurement category teams.
- A postgraduate qualification (Honors/ Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
- Strong overall knowledge of Supply Chain Management: Category Management, Cost Reduction, Sourcing, Purchasing and Contract management
- Advanced Category Management and sourcing & contracting knowledge with TCO approach
- Advanced skills in SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and SPM (Supplier Performance Management)
- Strong business case development and investment appraisal experience
- Deep commercial and negotiation experience
- Strong Supplier and Contractor Relationship Management
